Use classifications for reporting in Reckon One

Learn how to show classification data in your reports and filter reports by classification in Reckon One, so you can track business performance across specific categories.

You must enable classifications first.

Reports that can show classifications

Classifications on whole transactions

You can see classifications assigned to whole transactions (e.g. invoices and bills) in the following transaction reports:

  • Aged debtor transactions
  • Aged creditor transactions
  • Customer transactions
  • Supplier transactions

Classifications on line items

You can see classifications assigned to line items in financial reports:

  • Profit and loss
  • Profit and loss by classification
  • Balance Sheet
  • Trial balance
  • Account enquiry

Show classification column in reports

You can choose to see a classification column in the following reports:

  • Account enquiry
  • Customer transactions
  • Supplier transaction

To show the classification column:

  1. In the Reporting menu, select Reports.
  2. Click Generate on the relevant report.
  3. Click Show more options.
  4. In Columns, click the Classification checkbox.
  5. Click Refresh to update the report.

If a classification is not assigned to an item in the report, it will show a hyphen (-) in the column.

Filter reports by classification

You can filter selected reports so that they only show data pertaining to one or more classifications. You can do this for the following reports:

  • Profit and loss
  • Profit and loss by classification
  • Balance Sheet
  • Trial balance
  • Account enquiry
  • Aged debtor transactions
  • Aged creditor transactions
  • Customer transactions
  • Supplier transactions

To filter by classification

  1. In the Reporting menu, select Reports.
  2. Click Generate on the relevant report.
  3. Click Show more options.
  4. In Classifications, select:
    1. All to show all classifications
    2. Selected to choose specific classifications to show. This will show a list of possible classifications, along with the option to select No classification if you wish to show data that doesn't have a classification assigned.
  5. Click Refresh to update the report.
