Edit or delete a journal entry in Reckon One

Learn about how to edit or delete a journal entry in Reckon One.

Edit a journal entry

You may need to edit a journal entry if you selected the wrong accounts or entered the incorrect amount or date in the entry. Since journals will directly affect your reports, fixing errors ensures the data remains accurate.

System generated journals (such as pay runs, bank opening balances etc) are read-only and can't be modified.

Before modifying a journal, you should speak to an accountant/bookkeeper. Find a Reckon One expert.
  1. In the Day to day menu (Business section), select Journals.
  2. Click on the journal entry to open it.
  3. Change the necessary details as required.
  4. Click Save & Close (found in the top right).

Delete a journal entry

You may need to delete an entry if there was an error, if it's a duplicate or entry or it's no longer relevant after additional transactions were added or adjusted.

System generated journals (such as pay runs, bank opening balances etc) are read-only and can't be modified.

  1. In the Day to day menu (Business section), select Journals.
