Duplicate transaction number

Question

When posting from POS Administrator to Reckon Accounts, why do I get an error about a duplicate transaction number?

Answer

Unless you have POS terminal configured to "Reset the Transaction Number" when you run an "End of Day", POS terminal will re-use transaction numbers that have previously been used. This will result in a warning that your numbers have been used by Reckon Accounts Already.

Choose "Keep Number" to allow the POST to continue.

If you wish to change these numbers, you need to locate the transactions manually, and change the number in Reckon Accounts.
