Cannot get Employee’s 3 PAYE codes on the EMS file

Question

My Employee has the PAYE Codes M, SL & WT but the EMS file can only show the M and SL.  Why?

Answer

Setup the Employee twice – once as normal employee M SL; and a second as a Contracto – WT.

The Issue

The WT PAYE code indicates a Contractor.  For PAYE purposes an employee cannot be both an ordinary employee and a contractor at the same time.

Workaround

Create two Employee records for the employee, one as a Contractor with PAYE code WT and another as an ordinary employee with PAYE codes M SL .
