Question

How can I get my data from other software into Reckon Accounts?

Answer

If your software does not export data to .QIF files, you must enter your data manually.

Intuit does not support data used by other applications. Intuit only supports the .QIF (Quicken Interchange Format) file standard. If your personal finance application exports data to this file format, then Reckon Accounts will be able to import the data.

Importing data from a QIF file

  1. Back up your Quicken data file.
  2. If the account you want to import data into doesn't yet exist, create it.
  3. If you are importing the data from a floppy disk, insert the disk in a disk drive.
  4. From the File menu, choose File Operations, and then choose Import.
  5. Enter the name of the QIF file to import data from.
  6. Select the account you want to import the data into.
  7. Select the items you want to Include in the Import process.
