How to save an Excel Export file from QuickBooks Hosted to a local PC

Legacy KB ID: 4367

Question

I have exported my report from QuickBooks Hosted to an Excel spreadsheet.  How do I save this file to my local PC?

Answer

QuickBooks Hosted allows you to view and save the excel file created from a report.  You cannot open this file independently of QuickBooks Hosted on the hosted servers.

You can copy this excel file to your local PC and use your local Microsoft Excel to open and manipulate this file.

The Excel file is created in the 2003 format.

7.    Find the excel file you just created, highlight it and press Ctrl+C
