Dates appear incorrectly on the company Snapshot

Question

Why do dates appear incorrectly on the Company Snapshot? 

After viewing a chart and closing the Company Snapshot, the next time I open it I get the error:  QuickBooks encountered an unexpected error. 

Answer

This issue is caused by your computer being set to American Date format.  When you view a chart on the company Snapshot and a select a date that is the 13th or later of the month, QuickBooks cannot process the 13th month and generates the error. 

 

Solution

Change your computer settings from American Date format to Australian date format.

1.    Windows Start Button > Control Panel > Region and Language

2.    In the Format tab, change the Format selection to English (Australia)

3.    Click OK to save.
