Scanner does not work ~

Question

My scanner won't work. When I scan an item a message appears saying the function is not available. Why is this?

Answer

You have not set up the scanner, to set up the scanner select Options from the Tools menu of QuickPOS. Select the scanner section, and then select the appropriate scanner and where it is connected in the list. If the scanner is connected via a keyboard wedge you will need to add a Tilde "~" preamble to the scanner. Please read your scanners manual for information on this or contact your dealer.
