Portfolio View Day Change columns not updating in Accounts Personal 2016

Question

Why don't the Day Change and Day Change % columns on the Portfolio view of Reckon Accounts Personal 2016 no longer update after share prices have been updated?

Download the corrective utility.


RAP2017 users should refer to KB5567.

 

The issue

This issue has resulted from a recent change to one of the servers providing share price information to Reckon Accounts Personal which corrupted a link for processing. 

Download the corrective utility to restore this functionality.

 

Detailed Instructions

  1. The User must have Administrator permissions;

  2. Close Reckon Accounts Personal 2016;

  3. Go to your RAP installation directory and rename the file qwutil.dll to qwutil.dll.old;

    Default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Reckon Accounts Personal

  4. Click here to download the utility and save it to your Desktop;

  5. Unzip the downloaded file and save it to the Desktop;

    1. Right click downloaded file and select Extract Files;

    2. In Destination Path, select Desktop.

  6. Copy qwutil.dll to your installation directory as in step 3.

You can now launch RAP 2016 and test that Day Change and Day Change % update after share prices are updated.
