Enabling local Drives and Printers for QuickBooks Hosted

Question

How to I gain access to my personal computer’s drives and my office’s printers on QuickBooks hosted by Reckon Online?

Answer

For guidance on proper setup of your computer for QuickBooks Hosted, refer to the Setup guide on the FAX button on the QuickBooks Hosted web access page. 

Please note:

1.    You must have Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 or higher installed on your PC.

a.    Windows 7:  click HERE for kb3572: How to turn on .Net Framework 3.5.1 in Windows 7

b.    Vista & XP, Windows Server 2003 & 2008:  click HERE to download Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 from Microsoft

 

2.    On the RemoteApp window that opens when you log onto QuickBooks Hosted, tick the Drives and Printers boxes in the Allow the remote computer to access these resources on my computer.  We suggest you tick all boxes:




1.     QuickBooks Online will now be able to print to your local printers.

 

2.    When you select any function that offers you a location (export files, backups, logs, etc), you can choose drives on your local computer:
