Question

Why do I get the error:

when I try to log onto QuickBooks Hosted Standard Account?  I have used QuickBooks Hosted successfully on several occasions.

Answer

You will experience this error if:

  • your security certificate has become corrupt;
  • your computer date is set to a future date.

Solution 1:

Check your computer clock and set to current date and time

Solution 2:

Reinstall the certificate by running the ReckonOnline Infrastructure Compatibility Check application

1.    Check whether the Reckon Infrastructure Compatibility Check application is installed:

Control Panel > Programs & Features (XP: Add/Remove Programs)

2.    If it is present, highlight it and Remove it;

3.    In Windows Explorer, go to C:\Program Files\Reckon\ and delete the ReckonOnline Infrastructure Compatibility Check folder;

4.    Restart your PC;

5.    Go to:  https://online.reckon.com.au/Products/QuickBooksHosted/ReckonCompatibilityCheck.aspx

and download the Reckon Infrastructure Compatibility Check v2 and run it;

6.    Restart your PC again.

Additional steps for Windows XP

1.    In Control Panel > Scheduled Task

2.    Right click AddCRL and select Run.

You should now be able to open the QuickBooks Hosted Standard Account landing page and log onto QuickBooks.
