Question

Why can’t I access QuickBooks Hosted Standard account?  I get the error:

Browser Not Supported

This Web browser is not supported by RD Web Access.  RD Web Access requires Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.

Answer

You will get this error if you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer.  Other web browsers require an IE Tab Add-On to access the QuickBooks Hosted servers.

General instructions for installing the IE Tab add-on are available under Support Information on the QuickBooks Online web page.

Please note that web browsers and Add-Ons are being updated continuously.  The versions available at the time of writing may be superseded at any time.  Generally users should aim to be on the latest versions available.  However, later updates may contain features that may prevent QuickBooks Hosted from working optimally.  If such a situation arises, users should revert to an earlier version that was known to work.
