RemoteApp screen hangs when trying to log onto QuickBooks Hosted Standard Account

Question

Why is my computer hanging on the RemoteApp window when I try to log onto Quickbooks Hosted standard account?

Answer

You will experience this problem on a Windows Server 2008 or a Windows XP machine that does not have Active X Controls enabled.

 

Solution

1.     Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Manage Add Ons;

2.    In the Show box, select All add-ons;

3.    Scroll down the list to Reckon Ltd ( it may have (Not verified) in front);

4.    Highlight the  ReckonActiveX control line and click on the enable button at the bottom of the screen;

(Windows XP: right-click Disabled and select Enable;)

5.    Click Close and close Internet Explorer.

You should now be able to log in to QuickBooks Hosted.
