If your MTD status has expired, this will be stated.

You now need to re-authorise this application for MTD. To do this:

  1. Choose ‘Revoke authorisation’
  2. Then confirm this action
  3. Next, choose ‘Authorise’
  1. This will launch a GOV.UK pop-up
  1. Review this screen and then ‘Continue’
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the authorisation
You will need the government gateway login details that you used to register for MTD. You will also need the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) device you usually use when logging into HMRC services.
  1. Once completed, the app will be re-authorised with HMRC for 18 months. The status field will show the date you are authorised to.
