Admin User does not have permission to access the Leave Planner

Question

Why can’t I use the Leave Planner? I am the Admin user and Payroll Premier is indicating that I do not have enough permission to view this item? Why?

Answer

You will experience this problem after upgrading a file from a 2009/10 and earlier version to a 2010/11 and later version that already had users setup.  The Admin User is not given permissions to the Leave Planner (introduced in 2010/11) during the upgrade process. 

 

Workaround

Before proceeding with the following steps, create a backup of your company file.  Take care not to over-write existing backups.

Delete all Users and the Admin User. 

Create a new Admin User and other Users.
