Employee leave accrual default preference always reverts to Every Pay

Question

Why doesn’t Quickbooks save my Employee Defaults settings for Leave?  I choose Accrual period as Every Hour, but after a pay run, it reverts to Every Pay.

Answer

The issue occurs in  QBi 2010-11 and QBi 2011-12 R1.  It has been fixed on later release.

When a new employee is set up with the default leave preference of Every Hour, they retain that preference when the default preference reverts to Every Pay.

 

Workaround

Check Default Leave Accrual Setting before adding new employees.

OR

Check Leave Details when setting up a new employee.  Where necessary, change Every Pay to Every Hour.
