Reports on Tax Codes offer Calendar Year not Financial Year

Question

Why can’t I select a date range of “Last Financial Year” when running reports on a Tax code?  The only option is “Last Calendar Year”.

Answer

Use the Custom date range set From: 01/07/20xx To: 30/06/20x1. 

If you will be using the report frequently you can memorise it.

 

The Issue

The Date options on Tax Code Reports is seeking Calendar based periods – This Calendar Year, Last Calendar Year, etc – rather than Financial Year based options on all other items.  Reckon apologises for this error and it will be addressed in a future release.

 

Workaround

Use the Custom date option and set the From and To dates for the start and end of the financial year:

·         For Australia use 01/07/20xx and 30/06/20x1;

·         For New Zealand use 01/04/20xx and 31/03/20x1

To memorise the report, click on the Memorise button, give it a name and if you like, tick the box to Save in Memorised Report Group. 

To recall your Memorised report, click on Reports > Memorised Reports > Memorised Reports List.  You can then select your Memorised Report.
