Net Pay and PAYG Tax does not adjust for a percentage-based (%) Super Salary Sacrifice in 2011/12

Legacy KB ID: 4028

Question

Why doesn’t the net pay and PAYG Tax adjust for the Super Salary Sacrifice amount in QuickBooks 2011/12?

Answer

This problem will be encountered where Super Salary Sacrifice is applied as a percentage and the Review of Change Payments screen does not need to be altered – for instance, where an employee receives exactly the same amount each pay period.

Any change to the pay screen will refresh the pay and Net Pay and PAYG Tax will adjust to show the correct amounts.

Workaround

On the Review of Change Payments screen, tick and then untick the box Do not accrue time to refresh the screen.

Additional Information

If your business has a large and diversified pay run, you may want to put all employees that have a percentage-based Super Salary Sacrifice and do not need to have the screen refreshed, into a separate schedule.
