Question

Why is my payment summary showing a banner at the top: “This is an amended Payment Summary”?

Answer

The banner will appear if you have previously created a Payment Summary for the employee. 

If you have already issued a payment summary to the employee and you are making a correction, and you have already submitted an Empdupe file to the Australian Taxation Office, then the replacement payment summary must bear this banner. 

If you have not submitted your Empdupe file, or the employee has not had a Payment Summary issued, then continue with the solution.

 

Solution

Turn off the marker for a Payment Summary having been issued.

1.    Double click on the Employee on the Employee Screen

2.    Click on the Payment Summary tab

3.    In the INB column for the correct year, change YES to NO

4.    Click OK to Save.
