Question

Why do I receive a C=343 error when I open QuickBooks QBi 2008/09?

Answer

The following error occurs when opening QuickBooks

C=343 

Why is this happening? 
This error occurs when a Microsoft Core XML Services DLL file is missing, damaged, or unregistered.

To resolve this error, register the Microsoft Core XML Services DLL file:

Open the Run window:

  • Microsoft Windows Vista: 
    Click the Windows Start button. In the Search field, enter Run, then press the Enter key
  • Microsoft Windows XP: 
    Click the Windows Start button and select Run
  • Register the DLL file:
             1. In the Open field, enter Regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
    OR
             2. In the Open field, enter Regsvr32 MSXML4.dll.
  • Click OK

If the file is correctly registered, you will receive the message: DllRegisterServer in MSXML[Number].dll succeeded

  • Open QuickBooks

If the issue persists, download and reinstall the Microsoft Core XML Services package:
