How do I create an *.aba file to send to Quickline?

Answer

The online banking is no longer supported by the CBA bank, but if you create an aba file in QuickBooks Version 8, (& Payroll) it can be imported by Quickline and sent to the bank.

When you have bill payments / cheques ticked to be paid online,

and going to the online banking center

and clicking on "go to bank", enter password, and "proceed". It will create the *.aba file, dial the bank, and eventually get rejected by the system. There will be an error message. It is a good idea to remove the phone number from the setup, so theat the modem does not try to phone the bank as normal.

The cheques should then be changed, by taking the tick out of the box ‘to be sent online’. Saved in the numbered folder in ;

C:\program files\intuit\quick books pro\3b35435\20011108.aba.
