Reports8.exe caused an invalid page fault in module c4runx.dll

Question

When bringing up the Payment Summary report I get an error message: Reports8.exe caused an invalid page fault in module c4runx.dll, how do I bring up the report?

Answer

Delete the report templates and then reset your reports to default: You will need to close QuickPayroll before taking the following steps. Details: 1. In Windows 95 / 98 select Start || Programs || Find || Files or Folder. At the Named box enter the following: Reports.* In the Look In box, select C:\ , then click on Find Now. In the list of files found you will see at least 3 files:Reports.DAT, Reports.K01, Reports.K02 These should all be located in your QuickPayroll Directory. Click on these files one at a time with your mouse and then press the Delete key on your keyboard. You will be asked if you want to move these files to the Recycle Bin. Press YES to this option. Once you have deleted these 3 files, open QuickPayroll and select Reports, Reports name, (Eg Employees, Pays, Pay Slips, etc.) RETURN TO DEFAULT, this will regenerate the file, which we have just deleted correctly. After you have returned all your Reports to their default value you can open up your reports.
