Reckon Accounts 2023 R1 (Re-release with updated Digital Certificate)

A new release for Reckon Accounts 2023 R1 is now available for download, which contains the latest Digital Certificate.

There are no functional changes in the application in itself, but just the code re-signing of the installer package as a trusted environment. This is usually performed for Reckon Accounts versions that are close to the expiration period.

The current certificate is due to expire on 17 February 2024.

Other components that were already signed and/or timestamped does not require re-signing.



Why has this been made available?

If your system is working, no update will be required.

There may be factors that a warning may appear. Generally, it may have an option to continue. Depending on the organisation's settings, launching Reckon Accounts with an old certificate may be flagged by:

  • Security such as antivirus or anti-malware application tools
  • Operating system
  • Application integration


Possible actions users can take:

  • Click on a continue action
  • Add to exceptions
  • Add as a trusted application
  • Re-allow access between the applications
  • Reinstall Reckon Accounts (for all affected installations)



How do I know if I have the latest Reckon Accounts 2023?

For any new installations, ensure to use the latest Reckon Accounts 2023 R1.

Downloaded file

  1. Find the installation file: Reckon_Accounts_Business_Range_2023_R1.exe
  2. Right-click and select Properties
  3. Select the Digital Signatures tab and note the Timestamp.
    This should display the Signing time: ‎Wednesday, ‎17 ‎January ‎2024 10:29:16 AM


Installed application

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\Reckon Accounts 2023
  2. Right-click on the QBW32.exe and select Properties:
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Select the entry in the Signature list, then click on Details
This displays the Signing time: ‎‎Wednesday, ‎10 ‎January ‎2024 2:44:55 PM
