Cannot attach a document to ReckonAccounts 2013 directly from a scanned image on a Windows 8 compute

Question

Why can’t I scan a document to attach to my transaction? When I attempt to scan I have no scanner to select.  I have no trouble using the scanner directly.

 

Answer

This error affects Windows 8 PC only.  You can still attach a document from a File or from the Clipboard

 

Workaround

Scan the document separately and save it either to a picture file (like a *.jpg file) or to the clipboard.

In ReckonAccounts 2013 attach an image using either the File or Clipboard buttons.
