The exchange rate for 'transfer account transactions' from 'non-similar currencies' is not correct

Legacy KB ID: 3127

Question

Why is the exchange rate for 'transfer account transactions' not correct when I transfer from other currencies?

Answer

This is a limitation in Quicken 2005 and it cannot be remedied at this point in time.
1. When you buy shares from different currencies it records correctly but the 'set rate for this transaction' sets iteself to 1 instead of the actual current exchange rate.

Also

2. If you buy shares from another account / currency for example $1000.00 from your US account with your Australian Account the amount stays at $1000.00
Note - can also happen when you buy/sell/bought ESPP/sold ESPP/short sale/cover short sale.

How did we do?
