When I try to print the BAS Report, nothing seems to happen

Legacy KB ID: 2886

Question

When trying to print the BAS Report in Cashbook 2003, the print window briefly appears on the screen and then disappears again. The report is not printed. The issue is encountered with USB support printers connected to a computer running either Windows 98, 98(SE) or Windows ME operating systems.

Answer

This appears to be result of the unusual report formatting and the USB printer driver support under Windows 98 and ME. Some users may experience other difficulties in printing various documents from CashBook, such reports, registers or lists.

At the present time there is no known fix, although Quicken Development is currently investigating the issue with a view towards releasing a service pack in the near future.  You may be experiencing similar problems in other programs.

Only by changing the printer you are using from a USB support printer to a standard, parallel printer or by upgrading the version of Windows you are using to Windows 2000 or XP can this issue currently be overcome.

How did we do?
