Cannot download US Historical Security Prices

Question

Why does Quicken One Step Update hang on the status page when downloading US Historical Security Prices?

Answer

******   This issue was resolved in Quicken 2012   ******

Our US service provider, Intuit Inc., has decommissioned the server that supplies this information.  Reckon is awaiting further information from Intuit Inc. on new arrangements. 

 

Workaround

Source US securities information from other sources and manually enter share prices into Quicken.

To update share prices manually in Quicken:

1.    On the Investing tab, click on your portfolio and left click the share ;

2.    In the Transaction History right click and select Price History;

3.    Click on new and fill in the details (minimum entry is Date and Price);

4.    Click OK to save;

5.    Close Price History window by clicking on X in the top right corner.
