Question

Why am getting the error message 'Set up Could Not Find the Flavor Installer At C:\ pconfig' setup will cancel?

Answer

To correct this the entire contents of the CD, need to be copied to the hard drive before installation. Copy these files over and attempt to install the application again by following the below process.

Open 'My Computer' and right click on the cd drive containing the QuickBooks CDROM and select 'Explore.'

Now in explorer go to the 'File' menu and select 'edit' then 'select all.'

Then go back to the 'File' menu and select 'edit' then 'copy.'

Now browse you PC and make an empty folder in a place of your choice, open that new folder and again in the 'File' menu select 'edit' and lastly 'paste.'

The entire contents of the CDROM will now be copied to this folder.

Please try and run the installation from this folder now rather than the CDROM.

Note - If your files fail to copy and provide you with an error, this may be an indication that your CDROM or CDROM Drive are faulty, in which case you need to test this or consult your computer technician.

From the file menu select 'edit' then 'paste' and the folder from the cdrom will then be copied to your installation folder.
