Question

Why do I receive the following error message when I attempt to update share prices: "Error 1510 The server is unable to complete the request. Please try again later"?

Answer

This error can occur if you have a dial-up internet connection and your proxy settings are configured incorrectly in Internet Connection Setup. Incorrect proxy settings may result because your ISP doesn't have any proxies or has hidden proxies.

Enter the Internet Connection Setup wizard from the Online menu in Cashbook V8 or from the Edit menu if you are using Personal Plus 2002 or Cashbook 2003 and ensure that the dial-up internet connection setting option is selected. Continue clicking next until the "Tell us about your proxy server" page, Here you'll need to enter your ISP Proxy Server address. Complete the wizard then try to update share prices online.

If the error still occurs, or if you couldn't find the "Tell us about your proxy server" page then. Enter the Internet Connection Setup wizard and select the direct internet connection option. On the next wizard page, ensure that the Proxy Server settings are completed then try to update share prices again.
