Cannot open QuickBooks Hosted from http://online.reckon.com.au

Question

Why doesn’t QuickBooks Hosted open after I select it from the Reckon Online homepage (https://online.reckon.com.au)?

Answer

One reason QuickBooks Hosted does not open is because you have your Internet Explorer browser configured to open a new page as a tab rather than as a window.

1.    Click on Tools > Internet Options > General > Tabs > Settings;

2.    Under Open links from other programs in: click on the A new window radio button;

3.    Click OK then OK again to close

4.    Close your browser and open it again.  When you launch QuickBooks Hosted it will open in a new window.

 

Another reason QuickBooks Hosted does not open is because you have the Pop-Up blocker turned on.  You should see a yellow band across the top of the webpage with the message:  ‘Pop-up blocked.  To see this pop-up or additional options click here...’

To allow QuickBooks Hosted to open:

1.    Click on the yellow band and select Always allow pop-ups from this site;

2.    Answer Yes to would you like to allow pop-ups from “.reckon.com.au”;

3.    Select QuickBooks Hosted again and it will open.

 

Another reason QuickBooks Hosted may not open is that pop-ups are being blocked by your security software.  Please refer to that software’s instructions to allow QuickBooks Hosted to open, or refer to your IT professional.
