Why can't I lodge my monthly or quarterly BAS from Reckon Accounts?

Answer

Notice to Customers that are unable to lodge a BAS form, the Australian Taxation Office has provided us with the following notice for effected users experiencing this error between 8pm Friday 21 July until Monday 24 July AEST


=== For Monthly BAS Customers ===

As part of ongoing improvements to the Business Portal, we’ll shortly be adding some new functions and enhancing some existing functions.

The portal will be unavailable between 8pm Friday 21 July until Monday 24 July AEST while we perform this upgrade.

This means you should lodge your June 2006 monthly activity statement before 8pm on Friday 21 July. If you can’t lodge before then you can lodge on Monday 24 July without penalty.

You will however need to pay any amount owing on this activity statement by 21 July to avoid possible interest charges.

If you are lodging a NIL activity statement you can also lodge via our interactive voice response service by phoning 13 72 26.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

=== For Quarterly BAS Customers ===

As part of ongoing improvements to the Business Portal, they will be adding some new functions and enhancing some existing functions.

The portal will be unavailable between 8pm Friday 21 July until Monday 24 July AEST while we perform this upgrade.

During this downtime period you will be unable to lodge your activity statement.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
