List data in use error after applying the Tax Table Update 2013

Question

Why can’t I complete the EasyStep interview when creating a new company file after applying the Tax Table Update 2013?  I get the error:

List data in use

Sorry, you cannot change this Account now.  Single-user-only interactive feature is currently doing a task that uses the data for this list.  Try again in a few seconds.

Accounts business screen freezes and I have to exit through the Task Manager.

 

Answer

Our Product Development has not been able to replicate this issue. 

When you launch Accounts Business again the EasyStep interview automatically opens at the start. 

 

Workaround

Shut down the frozen Accounts Business through the Task Manager:

1.    Hold down the Ctrl, Alt and Del keys together;

2.    Select Start Task Manager > Applications tab;

3.    Highlight companyfile – ReckonAccounts and click on End Task;

4.    Close the Task Manager

5.    Launch Accounts Business

6.    Start the EasyStep Interview again.
