Question

Why is the Signature of authorised person is blank when generating payment summaries after upgrading from QuickBooks?

Answer

You may encounter the following error messages when submitting the Empdupe file:

  • Error: The Supplier contact name field must be entered but you did not report anything in this field: Supplier contact name [Position 218-255]
  • Error: The Supplier contact telephone number field must be entered but you did not report anything in this field: Supplier contact telephone number [Position 256-270]

This can occur if the Payroll Tax Form Information is missing or incomplete.

To resolve this;

  • From the Company menu, select Company Information...
  • From the Payroll Tax Form Information, enter the Contact name and Phone #

Re-generate the payment summaries and the Signature of authorised person will now appear.
