Reorder and choose a default bank account in Reckon One

Learn how to reorder your bank accounts so they appear in the order you want across all menus in Reckon One, with the first account always selected as the default. This helps you save time when selecting bank accounts for everyday tasks.

The steps outlined in this article are for customers with accounting plans. If you have a payroll plan, we recommend you manage your bank accounts in Payroll settings.

Reorder bank accounts

  1. In the Banking menu, select Bank accounts.
  2. Click Reorder bank accounts.
  3. Select how you want to order your accounts:
    • Account name (A–Z)
    • Account name (Z–A)
    • Bank name (A–Z)
    • Bank name (Z–A)
    • Custom order (where you can manually set an order of your choosing)

Set or edit a custom order

Set a custom order to control the exact sequence your bank accounts appear in across Reckon One. The first account in your custom order becomes the default and is selected automatically anywhere you choose a bank account.

  1. In the Banking menu, select Bank accounts.
  2. Click Reorder bank accounts.
  3. Select Edit custom order.
  4. On the Reorder bank accounts screen, change the order by:
    • clicking and dragging accounts into position
    • Using the arrows to move accounts up or down the list.
  5. Click Save.
