Lock or unlock transactions on a bank account in Reckon One

Learn how to lock transactions on a bank account to prevent transactions dated on or before a specific date from being entered, edited, or deleted, and to prevent reconciliation of those transactions. Learn how to also change or remove a lock off date on a bank account.

The steps outlined in this article are for customers with accounting plans. If you have a payroll plan, we recommend you manage your bank accounts in Payroll settings.

Lock transactions on a bank account

To lock transactions on a bank account:

  1. In the Banking menu, select Bank accounts.
  2. Next to the bank account you want to update, click More, then select Lock transactions.
  3. Enter a Lock off date.
  4. Click Save.

Change or remove the lock off date on a bank account

Changing or removing the lock off date lets you change or remove restrictions on entering, editing, or deleting transactions in the bank account. To change or remove the lock off date on a bank account:

  1. In the Banking menu, select Bank accounts.
  2. Next to the bank account you want to update, click More, then select Lock transactions.
  3. Change the lock off date, or clear the date to remove the lock.
  4. Click Save.
