Sales by item report in Reckon One

Learn how to run and customise the Sales by item report in Reckon One, so you can see the how well your items are selling.

This feature is available on all accounting and Reckon Ultimate plans.

About the Sales by item report

The Sales by item report shows you how well your items (products and services) are selling, so you can make informed decisions on business operations, pricing, and inventory management.

Run the report

  1. In the Reporting menu, select Reports.
  2. Click on the Sales by item report (found in the Customers and money in category).
  3. Select your Reporting period (the date range you wish to see data for).
  4. In Items, choose All to show data for all items and Selected to choose specific items.
  5. (Optional) To customise the report further (including sorting, filtering, and choosing data to show), click Show more options.
  6. Click Refresh to update the report with your selections.

Customise your report

You can customise the information shown in your report, and sort and filter data:

  1. In the Reporting menu, select Reports.
  2. Click on the Sales by item report (found in the Customers and money in category).
  3. Click Show more options.
  4. Once you've made your customisations, click Refresh to update the report.

Choose if report shows gross or net figures

You can choose if the report shows gross or net sales figures:

  1. In Reporting figure, select either:
    1. Gross
    2. Net

Filter by item type

To filter by item type:

  1. In Type, select an option:
    1. For books without inventory, Product or Service
    2. For books with inventory, Product (inventory), Product (non-inventory), or Service

Show or hide columns

To show or hide columns in the report:

  1. In Columns, select checkboxes against the columns you want to show.

Choose report orientation

  1. In Orientation, choose whether you wish the report to show in portrait or landscape (your selection will also apply when exporting the report).
