Understand the recurring transactions list in Reckon One
Learn about the recurring transactions list in Reckon One, and what you can do there.
About the recurring transactions list
The recurring transactions list contains every recurring template you’ve set up. From this screen, you can find and check your recurring transactions, and create new ones.
It doesn’t show the individual invoices, bills, payments, receipts or journals created from a template. To see those, visit the relevant list screen for the transaction (for example, the invoice list screen).
To view the recurring transactions list screen:
- In the Day to day menu (Business section), select Recurring Transactions.
Find and filter recurring transactions
You can filter templates by status, using the tabs at the top of the screen.
Filter | Shows |
Active | Templates that are current and available for use. |
Inactive | Templates that have been manually marked as inactive, or scheduled templates that have reached their end conditions (that is, have run out of occurrences or gone beyond their end date). |
All | Every template, regardless of status. |
You can also use the transaction type filter to narrow the list down to one or more of the five transaction types - invoice, bill, payment, receipt or journal.
Information in the recurring transactions list
The recurring transactions list displays columns showing information for each template. By default, you’ll see all possible columns. You can customise the information you see.
Column name | Information found in the column |
Template name | The name you gave the template when you set it up. |
Transaction type | The type of transaction i.e. invoice, bill, payment, receipt or journal. |
Reference | The reference number saved on the template, if any. |
Contact | The customer or supplier the template is for. |
Start date (relevant for scheduled templates only) | The date the first scheduled transaction is created. This will be blank for unscheduled templates. |
End date (relevant for scheduled templates only) | The date the schedule ends, if applicable. This will be blank for unscheduled templates. |
Frequency (relevant for scheduled templates only) | How often a Scheduled transaction is created. This will be blank for unscheduled templates. |
Next transaction date (relevant for scheduled templates only) | The date the next scheduled transaction will be created. This will be blank for unscheduled templates. The next transaction date updates every time a scheduled transaction gets automatically created. Sometimes, if there is a queue of scheduled transactions, there may be a slight delay in updating the Next transaction date. |
Status | Whether the recurring template is active or inactive. |
Type (plan dependent) | Whether the template is scheduled or unscheduled, if both types are available on your plan. |
Customise the information you see
You have the option to customise the columns in the recurring transactions list to meet your specific requirements. These personalised columns will remain unchanged even after logging out. Customisations are user-specific and will only be visible to the user who made the changes. They do not apply to other users of the book.
- Click Show / hide columns, in the top right of the screen.
- To hide a column, select the column option you wish to hide.
- To add a column to the view, select the greyed-out column option.
