Update your commission bank details in the Reckon Customer Portal
Learn how to update your commission bank details and how to verify them so your commission is paid into the right account without a delay. This is for Reckon Partners only.
Before you verify your bank account
We need to verify your account details with your bank before we can save them and pay your commission into the account. Before you save or update your commission bank details, make sure that:
- the account exists
- the account name you are going to enter exactly matches the name that your bank holds for that account
- the account is a business account, as commissions can't be paid to a personal account (New Zealand only).
You can only save details that match your bank's records. If Reckon can't reach your bank, or the check returns a partial match, your details won't be saved.
You will need to re-verify your bank details whenever you change the account holder's name, the bank or branch number, or the account number. Changing your commission contact email or address won't alter your verification.
Update your commission bank details
- Sign in to the Reckon Customer Portal.
- Go to the Partners screen and select the Edit details tab.
- Click Edit.
- Enter your account details.
- If your account is in Australia, enter your BSB number (6 digits) and your Account number (at least 6 characters). Your Bank name will load in based on the entered BSB.
- If your account is in New Zealand, enter your Bank and branch number (6 digits) and your Account number, including its suffix (9 or 10 digits). Then enter your Bank name.
- Enter the name on the account in the Account holder name field. Make sure to enter the name exactly as your bank has it, since a shortened or trading name won't match.
- Click Verify bank account.
- If verification is successful, the following message will appear: 'These bank account details match the account holder's records.'
- Then click Submit. You will not be able to submit until the account is verified.
If you change your account details after verifying, your details will no longer be verified. You will need to click Verify bank account again before you are able to submit and save.
What each message means
If your bank account cannot be verified, a message will appear to tell you why.
