Link bank feeds to accounts in Reckon One

This article explains how to link and unlink a bank feed to a bank account in Reckon One, so that transactions are automatically received into the correct bank account in Reckon One.

Typically, you'll be prompted to link your bank feed as part of the setup process when you add a bank feed. If you skip this step or if your feed isn't ready, you can link your feed later from the Bank connections screen.

Who can link and unlink a bank feed

Only the person who added the feed (the bank feed owner) is able to link and unlink it to an account, or change the linked account.

Link a bank feed during setup

In most cases and with most feeds, you'll be prompted to link your bank feed as part of the feed setup process.

1. On the screen called 'Link feeds to Reckon bank accounts', you'll have the option to choose whether to link to:
   1. An existing Reckon bank account - here you'll be prompted to select from a list of bank accounts in your book that are not yet linked to a feed. Only one account can be connected to one feed at a time.
   2. A new Reckon bank account - here you'll be prompted to enter a unique name for your new Reckon bank account. You can go back and set up this account later.

If you don't see this option, there may have been a short delay with your feeds being connected or you've selected a bank feed that requires a longer set up time. In these cases, you'll need to link your feed later on the Bank connections screen.

Link a bank feed from the Bank connections screen

To link a bank feed to an account from the Bank connections screen (after you've added the feed):

1. In the Reckon One Banking menu, select Bank Connections.
2. In the Actions column, next to the feed you wish to link, select the red link icon (when you hover over the icon it will say Feed not mapped to bank account) or select LINK in the Linked Account column.
3. Select the bank account from the drop-down list. You will only be able to link to a bank account that is not already linked to a feed.
4. Select Save.
5. The linked account will now show in the Linked Account column, and the link icon will turn blue.

Change the bank account the feed is linked to

1. In the Reckon One Banking menu, select Bank Connections.
2. In the Actions column, next to the feed you wish to link, select the blue link icon (when you hover over the icon it will say Feed mapped to bank account).
3. Select the bank account from the drop-down list.
4. Select Save.
5. The linked account will now show in the Linked Account column.

Unlink a bank feed

Unlinking a bank feed will unlink it from a bank account in Reckon but keep it active, so that it can be re-linked, or linked to another bank account. If you wish to cancel the feed instead, delete the bank feed.

To unlink the feed:

1. In the Reckon One Banking menu, select Bank Connections.
2. In the Actions column, next to the feed you wish to link, select the rubbish bin icon (when you hover over the icon it will say Delete this feed).
