SSL Error 4 - A network error occurred while connecting to “open.reckononline.com.au”.

Question

I have just installed the Citrix Receiver on my MAC computer and when I try to access QuickBooks Hosted premium, I get the error:

SSL Error 4: A network error occurred while connecting to “open.reckononline.com.au”.

Error number: 183

Why?

Answer

Before you can access QuickBooks Hosted Premium account, you must configure your Citrix Receiver to access the QuickBooks Hosted access website.

 

Detailed Instructions

1.    Click on the Citrix Receiver icon on your Desktop (or Dock);

2.    Click on Set Up Now;

3.    Enter the QuickBooks Hosted Premium URL:  https://open.reckononline.com.au;

4.    On the Verify the detected store configuration screen, ensure the URL is correct and the Description box has Reckononline Virtual Apps.  Click OK;

5.    Enter your QuickBooks Hosted Premium credentials – username: qbi\1234567-1; and your password.  Click Connect;

6.    On the Citrix Receiver window you will see the QuickBooks Hosted icon.  Click on Add to add it to the Applications directory;

7.    Click on the Applications folder to see the QuickBooks link.  Drag it to either your Desktop or Dock.

To launch QuickBooks Hosted, simply click on the QuickBooks Hosted icon on your Desktop or Dock.
