Question

What are QuickBooks permissions?

Answer

Permissions are levels of access to a company data file. The QuickBooks Administrator can give a user access to any or all of these areas when he or she sets up the user's password:

For each of these areas, the QuickBooks Administrator can also give a user the ability to edit or delete transactions.

To set up a new user and set permissions, see Adding users and giving them access.

Additional references can be found in the User Guide index or from the QuickBooks Help menu, choose Help Index, and type "users", "permissions", or "admin".
