Question

Why do I recieve the message "A:\qhi.idb contains a bad file name..." whenever i attempt to backup in Quicken Home Inventory?

Answer

You will receive this error if you do not have a disk in the drive to which you are backing up, or if your backup disk is marked as read only or damaged. To resolve this error:

  • Make sure there is a disk in the correct drive and retry.
  • Make sure the file to be backed up is not marked as "Read Only".
