Unexpected server authentication certificate was received while logging onto QuickBooks Hosted Stand

Legacy KB ID: 4287

Question

Why is my connection to QuickBooks Hosted Standard Account disconnected just as I log on?  I get the error:

RemoteApp Disconnected

The connection has been terminated because an unexpected server authentication certificate was received from the remote computer.  Try connecting again.  If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator.

How can I log onto QuickBooks Hosted?

Answer

You are getting this message because your security certificates that authorise your connection to the QuickBooks Hosted servers are out of date or not properly installed.

You may also get a secondary error message:

Remote App

An authentication error has occurred (Code: 0x80090327).

Remote computer: RDSfarm.QBi.aust
