There are employees showing in the Exception Amount column on a Super Report in Payroll Premier 2014

Legacy KB ID: 5215

Question

Why are some of my employees showing in the Exception Amount column in a Super by Fund Name report?

Answer

Print the Report with Print to PDF

The Issue

Payroll Premier will automatically place any superannuation contributions for new employees into the Exception Amt column.

This was a requirement under older procedures to pay superannuation contributions to the employees’ superannuation funds to alert them that this is a new contributor for this company.

Procedures to pay superannuation contributions have changed in 2014 with the switch to SuperStream guidelines and an alert that the file contains a new contributor has not been included.

You can ignore this column.

The amounts will not appear after superannuation contributions have been processed through the Super Data Export file.

Workaround

1.    Print the Sup0er by Fund Name report to a PDF printer;

2.    Close the report and regenerate it;

3.    Exceptions amounts will now appear in the Amount column;

4.    Delete the PDF print file.
