Payroll Premier 2011/12 does not recognise a 2010/11 installation

Legacy KB ID: 4237

Question

Why doesn’t the Payroll Premier 2011/12 install process not recognise my 2010/11 installation?

Answer

The Payroll Premier 2011/12 installation looks to the folder C:\QPRollV19 for the 2010/11 installation.  If you installed in another location, like C:\Program Files\QPRollv19, then the 2011/12 installation will not recognise your 2010/11 installation.

You will need to uninstall Payroll Premier 2010/11 and reinstall it into the C:\QPRollV19 folder.
