July 2021 - Redesigned BankFeed Management in Reckon One

Overview

We have released a new redesigned version of the BankFeed Management system that Reckon One uses.

We have listened to user feedback and improved the process of managing feeds, as well as adding some new enhancements and Feed.

New Direct Bank Feeds

As part of this new release we have now added Direct Feeds with the following institutions: -

  • BNZ (NZ)
  • Fonterra (NZ)
  • Paypal (AU & NZ)

New Features Overview

Below are some of the new features included in the new redesigned BankFeed Management system

  • New improved look and feel - Improved visibility of BankFeed Status and other information

  • New, simplified Add Feed wizard

  • Bank Authorisation forms can now be uploaded as well as Emailed

  • Link a Feed to your Reckon One account at the time of creating the Feed (rather than waiting for it to become Active)

  • Feeds that have been deleted no longer appear on screen
  • Only Feeds available for the Reckon One Book will appear in the list (rather than every feed the user has under all books)

For any BankFeeds that had recently been set up but weren't yet Active, you will need to click on Add Feed then Connect Existing Feed to add them to the new BankFeed Management window

Managing BankFeeds

The Bank Feed Management window displays a list of all bank accounts for your Reckon One Book.

The Status column displays the status of a client’s Bank Feed. The progression steps are:

  • Awaiting Form (await form to be uploaded or for the Direct Feed to be activated with the bank)
  • Form Received (when the form is received by BankData)
  • Bank-Gen Addition (banks with an online sign up, awaiting first bank transaction)
  • Form with Bank (when form is sent to the Bank)
  • Active (when the first transaction is received from the bank)

The Actions column allows users to:

  • Download the Feed Authorisation Form
  • Upload the completed Feed Authorisation Form
  • Re-Authorise a Yodlee Feed (this is the first thing to try if the most recent transactions havent been downloaded)
  • Link the Bank Feed to your Reckon One Bank Account
  • View the Feed Details
  • Delete the Feed

Feed Details Window

The Feed Details window will display information about the Feed including:

  • Account Name
  • Account Number
  • Yodlee ID (for Yodlee Feeds)
  • Bank
  • Status
  • Type - whether the feed is a Bank Account or a Credit Card
  • Source - whether the feed is a Direct feed or via Yodlee
  • First and Last transaction dates
When dealing with Tech Support, providing the information displayed in the Details section will help the Support team to investigate your particular issue.

Editing the Name of an Account

If, after creating your BankFeed you need to change the name associated with it, from the BankFeed Management window, click the View Details icon and you can then edit the Account Name

Linking your feed to a Reckon One Bank account

Prior to Launching FastCoding, you must link your Feed to the Reckon One Bank Account by clicking either of the Link options.

Once your Feeds have been created you are ready to start coding transactions.
