Question

How do I make my Reckon Accounts Business compliant with SuperStream requirements?

Answer

Note: NAB Superstream has been retired by NAB and is no longer available for sale to new customer since July 2017.

Reckon has released a patch that will make your Account Business 2014 R3 SuperStream compliant.

Download the patch from:

http://home.reckon.com.au/support/Home/Downloads/UpdatesServicePacks.aspx

An installation guide is available at:  installation guide

Key points to keep in mind when applying this patch:

1.    Create at least one backup of your company file

2.    Read the Installation guide before you start

3.    Close Accounts Business and reboot your PC (UAC turned off)

4.    Check your PC Services that the services

QBCFMonitorService or Reckon Accounts Database Manager Service; and

Reckon Accounts DB23;

are Stopped

5.    Download and Save the patch.  Run the patch

6.    (Keep the patch in a safe and accessible place – if you reinstall your Accounts Business you will need to reapply this patch)

7.    Open Accounts Business and click on Ctrl+1 and check that R4 or R4P appears at the end of the Product line;

8.    You will be asked to upgrade your file.  During the upgrade you will be asked to create a backup; do not overwrite existing backups.
