After installing CashBook 2004, QuickBooks becomes deactivated

Question

Why do I need to re-activate QuickBooks after installing CashBooks 2004?

Answer

If you have QuickBooks installed and Activated then Install Quicken CashBooks 2004 and Register it the next time you open QuickBooks you will be prompted to Activate it again.

The Correct Procedure to install both QuickBooks and CashBooks on the same computer is as follows:
  i. Install CashBooks
 ii. Register CahBooks
iii. Open QuickBooks again
 iv. Activate QuickBooks
 
Products that are affected by this scenario are as follows:
QuickBooks 2005/06 -> Quicken CashBooks 2004
QuickBooks 2006/07 -> Quicken CashBooks 2004
