Error - The value of the MSF:APRA:SMSF must be in the list – when upgrading to Payroll Premier 2014/

Legacy KB ID: 5143

Question

Why do I get the error “The value of the MSF:APRA:SMSF* must be in the list” when upgrading to Payroll Premier 2014/5/

Answer

You will get this error if your Employee record has incomplete information of their super fund.

The error is benign and you can proceed with the upgrade.

Before you can create a SuperStream Export File, you must have all the required information entered for the Super Fund and the Employee.

Solution

Click OK to proceed with the upgrade.

In your upgraded company file:

1.    Go to Lists > Super Funds > click on the first Super Fund;

2.    complete all the boxes;

3.    For SMSF* super funds:

a.    select the SMSF in the Managed As box;

b.    you may leave the APRA name box blank;

4.    Click OK to save;

5.    Repeat for all super funds

In the Employee Record, Super tab, enter the required Super Fund details.

Your company file is now ready to produce a SuperStream Export File.

Important:  The SuperStream Export File is optimised for our SuperStream partner – National Australia Bank.  Although the export file contains all information required by legislation, Reckon cannot guarantee that its technical format will be acceptable to other SuperStream providers.
