There are employees showing in the Exception Amount column on a Super Report.

Legacy KB ID: 2170

Question

Why are some of my employees showing in the Exception Amount column in a Super by Fund Name report?

Answer

Payroll Premier (formerly QuickPayroll) will automatically place any superannuation contributions for new employees into the Exception Amt column. This is to ensure that the superannuation fund knows there is a new employee and can ensure the required information is sent to them.

Workaround

To put the employees into the amount column:

For 2014/15 and later Versions:
1. Print the Super by Fund report to a PDF printer;
2. Close the report and regenerate it
3. Exceptions amounts will now appear in the Amount column
4. Delete the PDF print file.

For 2007/08 to 2013/14 Versions:
1. Go to the Activities menu then select Export > Superlink,
2. enter the correct details and click Export. (This then exports the SuperLink file to your Hard Disk Drive and then loads up the Quicken SuperLink Website to upload the exported file. )
3. If you don't wish to use this website then you can exit the Quicken SuperLink website.
4. Then recheck your Super report.

For 2006/07 and earlier Versions:
1. Go to the Activities menu and to Export Super Contributions,
2. enter the correct details and click Export.
3. Click Yes to print out the super report and another message will appear asking you if you wish to change all employees to Normal. Click Yes to this.
